10 New (and Awesome) Food Memoirs

Tuesday, April 18, 2017

While we are on the subject of delicious books, here are ten brand new and still hot-hot-hot food memoirs to add to your spring/summer reading list! I just finished Notes on a Banana - the laugh-out-loud story of food, depression and everything in between. A totally brilliant read that I truly recommend alongside all the other gems below...

Any favourites?

From the top: 1. Notes on a Banana: A Memoir of Food, Love, and Manic Depression by David Leite - 2. Give a Girl a Knife: A Memoir by Amy Thielen - 3. Out of Line: A Life of Playing with Fire by Barbara Lynch - 4. What She Ate: Six Remarkable Women and the Food That Tells Their Stories by Laura Shapiro - 5. Cork Dork: A Wine-Fueled Adventure Among the Obsessive Sommeliers, Big Bottle Hunters, and Rogue Scientists Who Taught Me to Live for Taste by Bianca Bosker - 6. My Mother's Kitchen: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and the Meaning of Life by Peter Gethers...

From the top: 7. The Temporary Bride: A Memoir of Love and Food in Iran by Jennifer Klinec - 8. The Mother-in-Law Cure by Katherine Wilson - 9. The Comfort Food Diaries: My Quest for the Perfect Dish to Mend a Broken Heart by Emily Nunn - 10. How to Make a French Family: A Memoir of Love, Food, and Faux Pas by Samantha Vérant.

P.S: Fancy more?
P.P.S: Literature + food.
